There exists two ways to send a workflow request - with template, and without template. This article focuses on sending a workflow request without template, which means direct browsing of a file to be signed. You can add the target document in Power Automate platform either from any online storage platform (like OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.), or from your local PC.
Phase 1 - Register a Document
(1) Begin with mentioning of trigger point when the process has to start. It could be manual, or automated - when the defined action has to be executed.
(2) Choose an operation through a platform's connector to add the file, which is to be sent for signing. For example - we are selecting Get the file content action in 'OneDrive for Business' connector to browse the document from an online storage platform.

(3) Next is to choose Register an envelope document action using the GMO Sign connector. Fill up the following details :
- Document (Mandatory) - Select the file content, which has been retrieved in Step (2).
- Document Code (Optional)
- Reuse flag (Optional)
- Remarks (Optional)
Phase 2 : Request an Envelope Signature
(4) With the help of GMO Sign connector, choose Request an Envelope Signature action and then, begin with defining of signature details.
(5) Fill in the following essential information to execute the procedure :
- Envelope Name - Give a title to the entire workflow request.
- Document Code - Get it fetched from the document registered in Step 2.
- Document Name
- Web Hook - Set the value to Yes. To built a connection between Power Automate and GMO Sign server.
- Signer Details - Like Order number, Sign type, Signer name, Organization name, Email id, etc. Note - If it is a counterparty signer, mention details in partner-related fields and for inhouse, enter information in inhouse-related fields.
- Document List - Enter the document code of the file to be shared with client.
- Request - Choose Sign to allow signer to apply signature. If you want signer to perform another action from the list, select accordingly.
Phase 3 : Track the Status of the Workflow
(6) Once done with the defining of signer details, next is to perform an action when the envelope process status changes. And, for this we need to use GMO Sign connector operation i.e., When an envelope status changes (changes).
(7) Mention the title to this connection and then, move to selection of another operation. Use GMO Sign connector and select Get envelope documents action. Define the Document ID as 'Document List' and then, Get the envelope documents at the location where you want to archive signed document.
